We have maned wolves here. They have stupidly long legs and are quite bonny.

That thing is about the size of a coyote. Nothing like a wolf.

And a wolf would not run away from a Pit or a Rottweiler. Maybe if there was a couple of them.

It's a far more efficient killing machine than a Pit or a Rottweiler.

Here's what happens when dogs come across wolves in Wisconsin and Michigan. They are getting slaughtered in droves there.

Don't think y'all want wolves running loose.

Well keep your Weans away from wolves. I think the three pictures are enough. Sometimes people that thing wild critters are cute need a little shock to realize what they do. I'm not anti wolf, but use biology to keep their numbers in check. Keep the cuddly emotions out of it.

I've read a lot about Wolves on various animal welfare sites and have seen the damage they can do. I think reintroducing to the UK would be a very bad idea. Oh and as for John Muir saying we have the food for them here, that's translates as peoples pets and farmers livestock. No we don't want them.

I'm sure I saw or read some while ago that there already is a managed and monitored wolf pack in Scotland.

Wild boar have been successfully re-introduced back into the British Isles - a fully grown male can be very dangerous, not heard of anyone falling foul of one, though.

Wolves actually don't attack humans unless they're very, very, very hungry or rabid. So I think it'd be safe to reintroduce them to remote parts of the countryside, maybe not for the sheep but that's what farmers have shotguns for. I'd also like to see beavers and wild boar reintroduced on a fairly large scale.

Fair enough. They can send them to England instead and they can tear your arse off.

Me either, Lady M.

Beautiful animals but ones that are best kept at a distance.
