Fisherman across Yorkshire have become increasingly worried for their livelihood after mass of dead sea creatures wash up on shorelines.

Robert Harrison, from Filey in North Yorkshire, said he is "scared" fisherman will be forced out a business amid claims there "isn't a living thing" within three miles of the coast.

His fears have come after reports from residents on the North Yorkshire coast after a mass of dead crabs and rotting lobsters littered the coastline between Marske and Saltburn last year, while further piles of crustaceans were spotted in Seaton Carew and Seaham

According to Mr Harrison, fishermen believe they have lost up to 40 miles of the coastline, as crabs and lobster have disappeared from the North Yorkshire coast.

They claim there isn't a living thing within three miles of the coast from Teesport to Scarborough.

Dog virus 'spreading like wildfire' as hundreds struck down with illness - a vet has now spoken out
Dog owners are being warned about an illness that has seen hundreds of dogs struck down with symptoms.

Hundreds of dogs fell ill across Yorkshire and the UK last week and there are fears that cases could escalate over the next week.

The illness is thought to have come from the North Yorkshire coast where people reported having walked their dogs on beaches, Yorkshire Live reports.

Not my real one just my official one.
I figured if it was good enough for the queen I'd do it too.
Thankyou.

Yes this is worrying.
My dog groomer made a post on Facebook saying two of her clients have been really quite ill and are being kept in the vets for a few days.
Also seen a lot of posts on a local pet Facebook group saying their dogs have got it.

Same as thre last two summers where we had nice springs at first then this crap with summer starting at the end of June if I remember rightly.
Then blazing July and stinking hot September and that was the last two summers.
Looking like the same again.

Bummer of a summer, I was going to go out in shorts and a polo shirt yesterday.
Luckily I checked the hourly weather and changed my mind and apparel.

I thought the coal mines were closed because the Coal from Poland was cheaper?
and how do all these climate change warriors in Britain feel about having a cold house during the winter months as opposed to opening up new coal mines?
