happens to me when i eat a full jar of pickled beetroot, i even drink the vinegar :drool:

Yes, mainly pee but I get both. It's harmless. I only have three slices, not a bloody jar.

I don't always buy pickled beetroot because I always end up sitting with the whole jar and a fork :pmsl:

I love fresh mashed beetroot too but only me in the family likes it.

fresh sliced beetroot with a slice of Scottish black pudding :thud: :drool:

Yes, everytime... pink wee with fresh beetroot, but never with pickled beetroot! :dunno:

I love sweet pickled jar beetroot from Teaso, very nice and does not affect my bodily workings.

Fresh seems a bit dry to me every time. Prefer the baby beets in the jars from Tesco. Hadn't any last time so had to get the sliced ones.

The color is caused by the excretion of betalain (betacyanin) pigments such as betanin which some people cannot digest.
