MBI insurance

Recently was involved in a hit and run , the police has closed the case as untraced , just wondering if anyone on here ever claimed from MBI , and if so was it a long process

most people in usa have UM--uninsured motorist coverage--that covers hit and runs and/or people who hit you who have no insurance.
also UM--if u buy the proper amt--works as underinsured motorsit--so if u get in a major wreck caused by someone who has skimpy bottom level ins your
UM covers the remaining expenses/settlements not covered by the cheapo who hit you.
