Lucian, Nucks is cool. She was having a laugh about the guest/s who had a small disagreement about colour of inhalers. She's saying she isn't asking for precise expert advice and she knows none of us are Dr. Kildare. That's all. :smilin:

Not that I advocate medicine sharing but have you got a friend/relative that could give you a spare one?

ffs you stupid, ridiculous fucking cow. no diagnosed asthmatic should be asked to give away their life saving inhaler. they give it away & have to ask gp for another who says no, you have x number of puffs left according to your last prescription date & then they have an attack & no inhaler.

it's like asking a type 1 diabetic to lend you their insulin.

No its not. My friend actually does it all the time.

You have a friend?! :awesome:

Yep. Got quite a few of them knocking about.

Not quite the sad lonely bastard the above guest thinks!

I know dr’s don’t like dishing out antibiotics willy-nilly but if that were the case I’m even less impressed with the surgery for not suggesting a course of them.

When I get a cold it always lingers like this, it’s such a nuisance and it does wear me down a little. I claim no expert medical knowledge but I do know my own body and the inhalers have always helped in the past. I wouldn’t say no to antibiotics though, even if I am prone to an unpleasant side effect from them. :ooer:

Oh go fuck yourself you fake arsehole.

I’m not taking the piss, I do have a cold and would genuinely like an inhaler to help me, but I take online advice with a huge grain of salt. Anyone with half a brain would do the same.

you are the "fake, " you silly little cow.

You ask for help then take the piss, and then gets wound up
when caught in the act

you are fucking "fake" you miserable little lair.

Fuckoff

:gigglesnshit: I think your exclamation mark being on permanent overdrive would suggest you are the one wound up, not me.

Anyway, moving along now. :twirl:

If a cough that starts with a cold or flu lasts longer than 2-3 weeks, a course of antibiotics is usually suggested. I'm surprised they aren't sending you for tests on the shortness of breath tbh.

Yes, they have and I do appreciate the input.

No such luck on getting a spare from anyone nearby. This is going on 5 weeks with this chest cold now and I’m tired of it. In the past the inhaler helped to kick that last chesty bit away.

Oh bugger.

Have you been googling Nucks. Sometimes lots of steam can help shift it. Did the dr give you any practical advice on how to shift it without the inhaler

No, nothing. I’m not impressed with my experience there today. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get one online or possibly from the pharmacy. I’m not in any danger but it would give me some peace of mind.

Keep looking but look for some home remedies online that you can try to help with the breathing

Very true!!! GP's are always overdosing the antibiotics, but at times they are needsed We had a chest infection a first for use late last year, could not get rid of this light/slight chesty cough, gp gave us anitbiotics, we held off for a few days and then had to take them, all cleared up.

People with astham need to request the punmonia jab as well usally free to the medically vulnerable, asthamitcs and 65+ we think
