Look on the bright side.... you're off on Christmas Eve, which is the best night imo :canny:

I blame immigrants for having to work Christmas.

You blame them for them having to work Christmas?

I'd have thought all your Muslim co-workers would be falling over themselves to offer to work instead of you. :wubbers:

Bah Humbug!

Are you making this up? :yikes:
Even the emergency services give their members at least one or 2 days of the holidays off.
It's an unspoken rule!
Throw a sickie - sorted.

Why would I make it up?

It's in my contract that I am required to work all Bank and National Holidays - I get a day off in lieu and extra pay. We have contracts that require work 365 days a year. The only day I do get off is Christmas Eve night - and there is a particular reason for that.

I could throw a sickie, but I'd be on a disciplinary the day I went back.

Is the Christmas eve thing due to you delivering to retailers who (currently) don't open on Christmas day? Just wondering.
