Trump’s Covid and Election Falsehoods at Arizona Rally

WASHINGTON — During a rally in Arizona on Saturday, former President Donald J. Trump repeated his lie that the 2020 election was stolen and made other false claims about the pandemic and the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6 last year. Here’s a fact check.

WHAT MR. TRUMP SAID

“The left is now rationing lifesaving therapeutics based on race, discriminating against and denigrating, just denigrating, white people to determine who lives and who dies. If you’re white, you don’t get the vaccine, or if you’re white, you don’t get therapeutics.”

False. There is no evidence that white Americans are being denied access to vaccines or treatments.

There are a few dozen places where Trump's race baiting false claims are put to the sword but I thought one from Texas would appeal to the newfound aversion to fearmongering following a Pauline Conversion most apt.

SSM Health will no longer use race or ethnicity as a factor in determining if a patient is to receive monoclonal antibodies to treat patients COVID-19.

Minnesota has removed race as a preferential factor for determining which COVID-19 patients should receive scarce monoclonal antibodies, which are outpatient infusions that reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization.

Minnesota doesn't have many cows. But it has lots of lakes. Not sure how that figures into the new policy in terms of race there.
