South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa said he was "deeply disappointed" by the travel bans and called for them to be lifted immediately.
"The prohibition of travel is not informed by science. Nor will it be effective in preventing the spread of this variant," he said in a televised broadcast. "The only thing the prohibition on travel will do is to further damage the economies of the affected countries and undermine their ability to respond to and also to recover from the pandemic."
Cyril is an idiot! When Britain announced a New Variant, the EU banned us from travelling there, and I cannot recall our nation being that stupid about it.
All have a responsibility to share all information about this pandemic, especially new variants, and quite rightly too.
If Britain discovers a new variant, announces it, and gets travelled banned by the rest of the world, then that is fine by me.
Exactly. We don't moan on about "discrimination".
The President of SA is playing the race card, which is not a good thing to do if they want the world to co-operate.
Which is pretty much him being a hypocrite given the racist Anti-White policies of the ANC Government --that the likes of the BBC would never ever cover and/or admit goes on.
The corrupt bastards have been filling their coffers, lad grabbing, disenfranchising whites and ensuring they don't get jobs, and when the Whites then turned into Entrepreneurs to run businesses, The ANC ruled that all business must have a Black director, and it just goes on and on,
With no benefits to Black voters either, they took sugar cane farms off the whites and gave them to the local Chiefs, who just moved in the Farmhouse, bought a 4x4 with government grant and then let the cane fields turn to Jungle.
The black workers lost their jobs, their homes, their pension contributions and their free healthcare - that the white farmers happily paid for.
Scandalous! Sugar cane farming, along with the whites who have the expertise, moved to Mozambique.
The SA Economy is going the same way as Zim did, Wankers!
