The copper could have told that woman that he would follow up the information she had given him over the police radio, and if necessary further action would be taken depending on what was discovered.
Swastikas on the streets of London? Nah, don't think we can accept that unless it has been pre-approved (because the Nazi swastika is the inverse of the Indian one and permission is being sought to use the Indian one in a specific cultural context.)
