The Republicans holding up a Ukrainian aid package is causing all sorts of problems in the battlefront for the Ukrainians.
Lack of ammunition, small bore and artillery shells, plus anti aircraft equipment etc, is seeing the UAF having to use their logistics sparingly against constant Russian barrages and offences using mechanised infantry and tanks.
The UAF are ceding land to the Russians, and the latter are amassing large forces to attempt to smash through Ukrainian lines, and if they do so, then Ukrainian cities will be at their mercy.
With republicans echoing official lines from Moscow, this is a very dangerous time for Ukraine.
They are now in dire straits and if they lose, the west will have Moscow on their doorstep.
Another iron curtain will descend over Europe.

Why should the USA pay for the Ukraine to defend itself when there are numerous nations closer that should be funding them to stop Russia over running their countries?

Ukraine is suffering very badly the GOP stopping aid, Putin must love the republicans.
I watched a video on the S400 anti air system, that Putin said was invincible, Turkey bought it, and later accused Russia of fraud in their sales pitch.
It’s shit, and stealth planes would annihilate with missiles before it got a shot off.
The planned F16 deliveries to Ukraine could launch long range missiles to do the same.
Which would be good, because the Russian innovation of putting GPS tracking and fin steering capability on old dumb bombs, which can be dropped a long way from the battlefront by aircraft out of reach of Ukrainian anti aircraft systems, are causing hell on earth for Ukrainian frontline units.
F16’s would be able to detect and destroy those aircraft before they could drop those glide bombs well inside Russian borders.
Which can’t come soon enough, Ukraine is now in a desperate situation, totally outnumbered and in dire need of military aid, to be able to stop relentless Russian meat assaults.
Ukraine will have to cede more ground until they receive military aid, and new troops, because frontline forces have faces two years of hell.
They’re very clever in drawing Russians into traps and using weapons and ammunition sparingly, but they’re certainly on the defensive, and won’t be able to recapture and ground without major aid.
