I know, that’s what really shits me up in storms… the damage they cause!… my OH tells me to put ear plugs in so I hear nothing and can sleep… but then I won’t hear windows blowing in or the roof taking of FFS!

Not a bad night here, maximum gust was only 66mph. It’s eerily quiet just now, more wind on the way. Weatherfile shows 75 odd mph in north Cornwall, guess we have that to look forward to.

Not too bad considering the weather forecasters stated the Isle of Wight would be hit by the centre of the storm , it seemed the eye of the storm was lower in the channel hitting the Channel Islands and north France .
Wind speed about 70 mph (Needles west wight,) my thatch roof survived another storm . :kinell:
