Why is Oikophobia so rife on this forum?

Postby LordRaven » Sun Aug 13, 2023 11:32 pm

Inward foreign investment to build a battery factory that’ll provide jobs and grow the economy gets attacked as being the work of the devil. Why? Surely it’s a good thing for Britain. Can anyone explain why they don’t want jobs for people here?

The French willingly escort, in seaworthy vessels themselves , unseaworthy vessels full of desperate people wanting to get to England into dangerous waters, and when they sink and die, people here, in Britain, and on this forum, blame us. Why?

There is a Medical term for people who hate their own country, but the good news is that it can be treated…

“Oikophobia may be the result of negative emotional experiences that can be either directly or indirectly linked to the object or situational fear.
Over time, the symptoms often become “normalised” and “accepted” as limiting beliefs in that person’s life – “I’ve learnt to live with it.”

The local area is already stretched by the construction of HPC and while the site that has been cleared and made ready for construction over two years ago has now been 'surprisingly' approved (that's a rabbit hole all by itself), my original question remains. Where are you going to put them?

Who cares? Once Kier opens it, and lots of proper Jobs for people, he will be seen as a saint!

Excellent! Good for Labour!

The people getting jobs, including perhaps, those arriving on dinghies to better their, and their families lives, won’t care!
And neither do I!
Why fight against inward investment and job, plus wealth creation?
Great news!

I went to a family reunion not long ago, and I met a cousin, who said his company were sending him to Turkey.
“Hold on” I said, “my niece Sonia is married to Bahader, and they spend months in their house in turkey.”
So I introduced them, and lots of useful information was passed to and fro.

Re immigrants, bring them on, safely, and don’t let them get drowned.
What a waste!

I’ve not told mr niece’s husband I have an Iraqi Kurd Christian girl as a mate though, what would be your advice?

Only joking, here, they are all English! :awesome:

But you can't expand this point of view and this reality on to a national level with you wanting open borders for the UK.
So long as you keep this local you won't be accused of being right wing but move it up a notch or two and it becomes seriously problematic for you.

Why do people hate their own country so much?

Personally I want the UK to do well.

Exactly! Why do so many risk their lives in small boats to get here?

But Stooo, ably helped by the hysterical twat, slags this country off.

When so many risk their lives to get here, with many poor souls dying on the way.

And even when those deaths occur in French territory, all they want to do is blame Britain for the deaths.

Mad bastards!

And when we get a more compassionate government, it’ll get better for the poor in society too.
Let’s hope the rich bastards then get chased for their ill gotten gains when that happens.
Robin Hood politics is what we need, the poor need to get a share of the ill gotten gains of this robbing bastards chumocracy.
