What Are You Drinking Right Now? Part 2.

Part 1 was epic!! > > viewtopic.php?f=22&t=45343

Almost 900 posts, 65 pages, about 40 members contributing. However, time marches, people move on, we can be mushily sentimental about 'absent friends' -, but we can also be practical & pragmatic and accept things and just gently get on with it.

To those hopelessly addicted to trolling, especially abusive trolling, pls treat this DRINKS thread with the same consideration that we all treat our magnificent FOOD thread in which i've just posted. Trolling is not compulsory.

So just now I am sipping a soft drink with my late supper.
The drink is pink, 275 ml, called "Tame & Wild" made with "a sparkling berry & botanical infusion of damson, rosehip & passionflower. "
But my choice of drink will get a lot livelier later. :leer: It's a Friday night after all. :Wiiiine!:

You?

Green tea.
No booze tonight I have to drive in the morning and I never put my license at risk.
The North Wales police are known as the traffic Taliban for a reason.

As I'm sure everyone knows by now I've become a whisky man.
Sipping it neat sometimes a drop of water as in half a teaspoon in a double is plenty.
I drink forty quid bottles and I drink fifteen quid bottles.
The best cheapos are ALDI and LIDL.
ALDI do an eight year old blended which has to be mostly malt as it is so smooth and I haven't seen a negative review of it yet.
LIDL do a blended smoky malt called ABRACHAN which again gets very good reviews.
I prefer those to the NAS Welsh single malts like Penderyn simply because the Welsh stuff is very young whisky selling for prices that aren't warranted.
My current favourite whiskies are Johnny Walker Green 15 year old blended malt at 46% and Bunnahabhain 12 year old blended malt at 46.3% and the only Islay whisky I know of that isn't heavily peated.
I seriously enjoy whisky these days instead of just drinking it.

I'm having a brandy with ginger ale right now, and stuffing my face with bezel sticks :smilin:

Many nights I drink golden milk just before bed and find it helps give me a great nights sleep. Google or YouTube will help.

OK, I googled it for people who don't know what golden milk is.
I didn't know either.

Golden milk, also known as haldi doodh in hindi or as turmeric milk in popular culture, is a drink with a lot of history. It has been a part of Indian culture for centuries. The drink is bright gold, stemming from yellow turmeric mixed into white milk.

Not as good as it sounds.
The turmeric is hard to dissolve so I use one of those hand held coffee whisks.
Half a teaspoon of turmeric half a teaspoon of ginger quarter teaspoon of black pepper needed for absorption into your bodies cells and a half a teaspoon of olive oil needed to dissolve the turmeric. Then hot milk poured on.
Half way through the cup I feel sleep coming on heavy... seriously.
