There only appear to be a handful of folk posting regularly now.

Social media or they've died, forums were very much pre-FaceBook and the social media that followed it.

I'm sure you remember the old days of FTP, servers, learning a bit of code and stuff like that but your new phone comes preinstalled with all of the SM apps that you like and it's very simple to use unlike forums.

I'll keep the flag flying for the old prosilver forums for the present time even if it's just to revisit the good old days once in a while and have a smile

Yeah, it's a real shame forums seem to be dying everywhere. I was very active in Chatter on DS a few years back and they were fun days. I take a trek down memory lane through the DS archive every so often and it brings a smile . It's tricky following threads on DS now as half the posters show up as 'System' or 'Deleted User' - not unlike the guest posting feature here really . I've always lurked on Dogs as it was amusing to read the comments on DS and DTV users. I never really felt tempted to post as it was far too aggressive for my liking .

I sincerely hope Dogs can weather this current lull in posting activity. It's always been around since I became an active forumer and I'd hate to see it go under.

Dear Monkey here's one of the reasons dogs is almost dead... the following thread was locked because Stooo doesn't like it.
It broke no rules could have been interesting would have caused no damage but nope it had to be locked because of Stooo.
Also personal attacks on members by mods and infighting from mods all over the place and this is what you get.
Most of the people who no longer post don't because Stooo banned them for.... for... not very much.
