Will Kwasi’s mini budget have any real effect on the UK’s fortunes?

Yes I'm pretty sure it will help accelerate the race to the bottom.
Tax cuts that are only for the wealthy none for the working and middle classes.

Yes, the rich going to get richer. Next up, bonfire of worker's rights silly red tape. But it's it what the English working classes seem to want going by the collapse of the red wall and recent by-elections.

Kwateng scrapped a planned increase in alcohol duty to enable the poor to get pissed after realising they've been shafted again with not a hope in hell of heating their home or paying bills.

Fat cat energy bosses and bankers have ordered crates of Krug to fill their swimming pools with whilst they laugh at the proles.

The markets have reacted.

"The pound has fallen to a fresh 37-year low against the dollar as financial markets reacted to the biggest tax cutting moves in 50 years.

UK stocks also dropped after Kwasi Kwarteng outlined a series of tax cuts and economic measures in a massive shake-up of the country's finances."

This is what happens when you allow Tufton St to run the country. Expect two years of hell followed by eight years of bollocks while the country is repaired after this TPA/ERG wet dream reduces us to begging to the IMF or it's equivalent while food banks concentrate on the starving rather than the hungry.

This is typical Tory and Libdem behaviour.
Economically the shit hits the fan and they run around grabbing what they can for themselves which is seriously damaging to an already fragile economic situation.
Austerity for the masses of course.
They don't seem able to learn if you give a rich man ten grand he won't even notice it it'll just sit in his account.
Give your average Joe and Johanna ten grand and they'll start spending thereby boosting the economy.

This is who Truss should be listening to - someone who knows what he's talking about and blows the myth of trickle down.

and if you can spare the time, give this a listen. He predicted what is happening now and blows apart the nonsense Truss believes necessary to 'grow the economy' - shafting the less well off to reward the rich.
