My Policies To Make Britain Great Again

Postby Mr Daily Mail » Fri Aug 11, 2017 1:51 pm

Hello there, I am a Scottish Brexitor (yes we do exist) and these are my policies to make the UK Great Again!

Immigration
- Moratorium on unskilled and low-skilled immigration for five years, with restrictions on the residence in the UK of Bulgarian and Romanian nationals to continue.

- New international visa system with visa categories for highly skilled workers, tourists, students and family reunions

- Allow international post graduates from UK universities to stay in UK for six months to find work

- Migrants to UK to make tax and national insurance contributions for five years and gain UK citizenship before eligible for benefits and NHS treatment including migrants who have already settled here

- No visas for foreign criminals

- Migrants who commit crimes resulting in prison will have their visa revoked and be detained until they are deported

- EU Citizens who are in full time work, married to UK citizen, have siblings or parents that are UK citizens, own business that employs UK workers or have lived in country for 10 years to be given EU status visa which gives them permanent residency and eligible for UK citizenship test, EU citizens who don't fit the criteria to be deported within 12 months of exiting the EU

Culture and Media
- Abolish the license fee

- Shut down BBC Two and give the channel 2 slot to another network like UKTV, Sky, NBC, CBS, whatever to allow more competition in the UK television market

- Privatisation of Channel 4 (sell it to Discovery or BT as I heard they are interested in it)

- Privatisation of BBC and subjected to follow all OFCOM regulations (sell it to the Walt Disney Company, they own ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN networks which are similar to BBC channels I'm sure it'll be in good hands with them)

- Change BBFC ratings to U, PG, 12A and 16A, kids and teens watch 18 films all the time and parent don't care let Hollywood make money from them provided an adult is with them

- End the Watershed for TV and replace with a ratings classification system similar to the US

- Have the Video Standards Council have it's own classification for video games and other forms of media than using PEGI

- Amendment to smoking ban to give pubs and clubs choice of opening “smoking rooms”

- End the use of multi-lingual formatting on official documents, which will be published only in English, Welsh and Gaelic

- Allow political campaign advertising on TV & radio

- Bring back public information films like those used in the 1970s and 1980s like the Spirit of Dark and Lonely Water, Apaches, AIDS etc.

- Require all broadcasters to play two public information adverts by the UK govt and devolved govts during advert breaks of TV and radio programming as well as online video and music streaming

- In the run-up to general elections have three TV debates take place broadcasted live commercial free on the five main TV channels one involving all major political parties (Con, Lab, LD, UKIP, Green, SNP, PC, DUP, SF) one head to head with the Chancellor and Shadow Chancellor and a final head to head between the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition

- The Chancellor’s Budget announced and read out in Parliament from 7PM and require the five main terrestrial TV channels to broadcast it live so to important Prime Ministerial addresses and other important political events in Parliament and announcements Downing Street as broadcasting them at 10am is pointless as everyone is at work

Federalism and Devolution

- Reform the UK political system to become a federal system of government by 2030

- Create an elected two house English Parliament (the lower house: a 501 member House of Representatives elected under STV (4/5 member constituencies with Isle of Wright being a 2 member constituency) and the upper house: a 90 member Senate with the 9 English regions electing 10 Senators each) with powers that of the Scottish Parliament & Northern Ireland Assembly

- Devolve more powers to the National Assembly of Wales to that of the Scottish Parliament and Northern Ireland Assembly including it’s own legal and justice system like Scotland and Northern Ireland

- Create Supreme Courts for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to be the highest court of the respective nations

- Permit the English and Scottish Parliaments and Welsh and Northern Irish Assemblies to have their own constitutions supported via referendums in their respective nations

- Have Jerusalem as the official national anthem of England

- Allow local councils to set their own levels of council tax

Political Reform
- Change the voting system of the House of Commons to AMS allowing FPTP and PR voting

- Reform the House of Lords to be an elected Senate with each of the 12 UK regions electing 10 Lords each. The House of Lords will keep current powers but can VETO bills passed by the House of Commons by a majority vote

- Reform UK Supreme Court by having 5 Judges, 1 appointed by the Queen on advice of the Prime Minister and 4 appointed by the Queen on advice of each First Minister of the 4 nations, judges should not be members of the House of Lords like currently

- Reduce voting age to 16

- Have all 46 major UK metropolitan areas have their own directly elected mayor (or Provost in Scotland) by 2025 with full control over their own police, fire & rescue, ambulance services, transport, tourism, housing, infrastructure, sports, economic development and power to increase the minimum wage (which is notably needed in London). Done to make our cities bigger economic powerhouses like the major cities of US, Australia, Germany and China.

- Introduce the Royal finances reform charter which has UK Parliament to set an annual fixed budget for the monarchy - including an annual salary for the Queen - to be managed and reported on by a government minister, not Buckingham Palace.

- All security costs of the institution of the Monarchy to be made transparent and accountable. All costs of royal visits around the country to be incorporated into the monarchy's budget, not met by local authorities as well as all members of the royal household, to be required to follow the same tax laws and rules as all other public bodies and private individuals

- Transfer the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall into public ownership, with all revenue going to the Treasury

- Prevent the Monarchy from being members of the Privy Council, meeting the Prime Minister weekly and access to UK government documents like Prince of Wales has apparently gotten in the past, they should be completely independent from politics bar Queen Elizabeth singing bills, and appointing the Prime Minister

- Make 1st May a public holiday known as Unionist day celebrating unionism and Britishness and public holidays for the saint’s days for each respective nation as well as Robert Burns day for Scotland and a public holiday for the Queen's official birthday

In event of a death sentence, execution is carried out in 30 days of sentencing with death row inmates getting one appeal and the Justice Secretary having the final say on execution day who can carry out a stay of execution if the Justice Secretary feels there is insufficient evidence or a mistrial has occurred

- Have life sentences be full life sentences, eligible for for murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, blasphemy, terrorism, severe child abuse, rape, espionage, treason, high treason, drug dealing, drug trafficking, drug possession, human trafficking, severe cases of fraud, membership of terrorist/gang group, severe cases of financial crimes, aggravated criminal damage in English law, and aggravated cases of arson, kidnapping, burglary, or robbery which result in death or grievous bodily harm, piracy, and in certain cases genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, certain war crimes or any three felonies in case of three strikes law

Responsible for policing of airports, major train stations, and emphasis on cybercrime, arresting criminals who travel committed overseas by UK Citizens, crimes of UK federal law such as UK tax evasion, breach of UK regulations on industries like dentistry, benefit fraud, data protection etc. with other UK national policing forces like Revenue and Customs and Home Office Immigration police forces merged with the H.M Federal Police

- Reduce drinking, smoking and driving age to 16

Got as far as Para 1, Point 1 - and thought just what bollox the rest was going to be and didn't bother.

Stop the unskilled immigration and we will just let the crops rot in the fields, hospitals get dirtier, the beds in hotels remain unmade, the meals in our restaurants take forever to arrive - the list is long and no home grown labour will fill it. We have given our kids - even the least able or intelligent - utterly false expectations of what they can achieve. They wouldn't dream of working in the tough jobs our 'cheap, unskilled, imported labour' are happy to do.... for peanuts. Emily can't do maths, or write a legible sentence, but she knows she can be a model, or a star on reality TV. She ain't picking no fruit.

There are some doozies in that rambling mess:

Reform of prison system which prevent prisoners from interacting with each other for security purposes also allow police brutality in prisons if necessary

And a question on this:

"Migrants to UK to make tax and national insurance contributions for five years and gain UK citizenship before eligible for benefits and NHS treatment including migrants who have already settled here"

And what about refugees ? You realise they often have nothing bar the clothes they arrive in, often having got here via the people smuggling chain ? How will you treat the helpless ?

My lord, do you happen to be one of these rabid Jeremy "socialist" Corbyn/Scottish First Minister Jimmy Krankie supporters who wants rail renationalisation and also reopening of the coal mines and renationalised privately owned steel companies?

Renationalisation of the railways is too expensive and will hardly improve the rails in anyway. Most people drive cars and I can't see them being happy at their hard earned taxes going to trains they never use. Our railways need more privatisation, not less. Imagine three trains an hour from Edinburgh to London run by different companies (like the airways) rather than just one. Each company would be dying to give you a ticket leading to better fares and more innovation. If you go with the rail nationalisation route you will get is the same slow network with poorer catering services complete with disgusting sandwiches.

It should also be pointed out that Jimmy Krankie hasn't even nationalised the railways in Scotland and allowed ScotRail to continue, Why is that? Because even she knows nationalisation of the railways is the wrong way to go.

Is the correct answer.

However, this was about RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE.

Privatisation of that was a miserable failure. It cost lives. It was so bad, the government was forced to take over again. Let's not let Tory dogma cost more lives.

Fucking LOL, how much tax money will go into running these trains? And how cheaper will the fares be? Please do tell.

I'm amazed at all the looney lefties in this forum who are so easily triggered at hearing different ideas opposite them in the spectrum. Though what can I expect as it si typical of the looney left who love Jeremy Corbyn and the SNP.
