Thousands of people took part in Glasgow's biggest ever Santa Dash yesterday.

This was the 10th anniversary of the event and more than 7,500 runners made their way along the 5KM route and raised more than £100,000 for the Beaston Cancer Charity.

Here's a wee Santa getting carried..

Here's a fur Santa making his way along the route..

I don't put them up either as I always go away to family these days at Xmas. They put loads of decorations up. The pets like the tree too. I do get how some people feel about forced jollity though, especially if you spend Xmas alone. I might put a decoration on my front door having said I don't usually put them up. I am looking forward to Xmas this year. I can't wait to see everyone especially my nephew's little boy.

Theresa May has refused to force shops to close on Boxing Day after 140,000 people signed a petition asking her to. The people who signed said shops exploit low paid workers who might want to spend time with their families and have problems with childcare and transport on Boxing Day. Theresa May said it's not her place to interfere with how shops run their businesses and also said shops have opened on Boxing Day for years. Personally I'm glad shops open on Boxing Day plus not everyone celebrates Xmas and might be happy to work. People who do work should be paid extra time though in my opinion.

Maybe do something different like volunteer at a homeless shelter such as the Salvation Army Xmas dinner? There are lots of homeless people who will be glad of a hot meal on Xmas day. If you don't want to have a traditional Xmas it could help the day go more quickly.

I'd say "What size is she"

They hold out their hands and say "She's about this size"

It wasn't much help.

I have told my husband to never ever buy clothes for me. Slippers are ok. It makes you feel like shit if he buys too big or too small, so I'd rather he not waste his time and spare my feelings. This year I've asked him to find me a few pop vinyl figures I'm missing from my collection. He's ace at sourcing stuff online so I'm sure he won't disappoint. He does nice surprise gifts too.
