Just to get things started a very nice little article on the world's oldest computer the famous Antikythera mechanism.

A lego version of this incredible example of ancient technology - just how cool is that?

A mighty axe has been discovered in a 10th century Viking Dødehus ('Death House') in Haarup.

Ten historical treasures that the world has lost during the last century (no prizes for guessing what scumbags have caused the most destruction). :shake head:

So
Normally, when working on a live, unidentified person’s case not so much detail would be given to skin tone, eye or hair color and hair style as none of these elements can be determined from the anatomy of the skull,”

he tells

McKenzie. “So, creating a facial reconstruction based on archeological remains is somewhat different in that a greater amount of artistic license can be allowed.”

So the cunt made it up, and you posted fiction and fact. Not a great start for a "Archaeology thread"

All knowledge is valuable it's a highly educated guess.

Don't like the thread?

Then don't bother reading it.

More on the ancient Chinese flood and a very topical article on the original Olympics.

Forensic artists have often proved to be incredibly accurate in the past - in reconstructing the faces of unknown murder victims so they could be identified for example.

Anyway another article on this topic.

An archaeology thread is a very strange place to vent your wrath.

She was probably a Labour voter. :again?:
