Knowledge is what we KNOW--the clue being in the word
Knowledge is FACT because it has been PROVEN to be so.

Theory is just that, it NOT FACT but a THEORY
And so we EXPERIMENT to prove a theory.

If our experiments yield the RESULTS we want to PROVE THE THEORY then they too become FACTUAL.
