On topic, what would be your view if a bloke was found guilty of doing the same thing? Fwiw, I think this woman was quite clearly a predatory sex pest and, for that, she does deserve some jail time. But 22 years? That's just nuts.

The gender is irrelevant, it's a breach of trust either way. Also statutory rape if the pupil is underage. However her sentence seems unusually harsh.

Jeremy Forrest had an affair with one of his pupils when she was only 15 and also was convicted of abduction, he was sentenced to 5 1/2 years.

They are teenagers.Being boys I doubt they'll be haunted for the rest of their lives.
In fact they're more likely to wear it as a badge of honour and take the piss out of those who missed out.
