A Tesco statement could not resist a reference to their 'Finest' range, saying: "This is clearly not our finest* moment. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the broken chillers, and for the grammatical errors."

Is there some weird word association thing going on here??
They mistakenly swapped the word incontinence for inconvenience.
Inconvenience > > public convenience (ie toilet ) >> incontinence??
Oh well, whatever. It raised a laugh anyway.

I can categorically state that the food on mainland China generally looks anything but appetising, and bears very little resemblance to the 'pretty' type of Chinese food we're used to in the West :ooer: Great place to go if you're on a diet though - what with the humidity & the unidentifiable food (that looked like it was floating in ditch water), I lost around 4kilos in the couple of weeks I was over there.

...I wouldn't eat anything sold by street vendors but you can't even go to a Mac Donald's there anymore

No surprise that so many people come back sick from Asian countries.

Chinese regulators shut a local meat supplier after a TV report that showed workers picking up meat from a factory floor, as well as mixing meat beyond its expiration date with fresh meat.

China’s most popular fast food chains Yum Brands and McDonald's have apologized to customers after they suspended meat purchases from a Shanghai-based supplier under investigation for allegedly using rotten chicken and beef in its products.

^^^^ and Holls proves my point. Can't say I'm surprised by that link. Fascinating country to visit, and the children are incredibly cute, btw. But the food's a complete no-no
