I can categorically state that the food on mainland China generally looks anything but appetising, and bears very little resemblance to the 'pretty' type of Chinese food we're used to in the West Great place to go if you're on a diet though - what with the humidity & the unidentifiable food (that looked like it was floating in ditch water), I lost around 4kilos in the couple of weeks I was over there.
