Getting plastered.

A right load of bollocks...

Getting plastered.

Postby miss must » Sun Apr 20, 2014 5:38 pm

As you know I broke my ankle 8 weeks ago(cast comes off at 9am tomorrow) by tripping up a hidden rabbit hole in a park.
I was just wondering if anyone else has broken any bones and how they broke them?

Start with the earliest:

Right arm, falling out of a tree at 16

Front teeth snapped off diving into the pool at Coral Island also aged 16

Nose in a brawl at clearing out time

Shoulder (ball and socket) motorbike accident (I still rode home)

Numerous toes playing beach football

Many ribs including floaters mainly from work

A couple of fingers (unidentified beer injuries)

Yet another toe last week from kicking the hoover

So you're accident prone then stooo.
I suggest you invest in some form of body armour in future.

I heal quickly and don't feel pain too much, the shoulder still gives me a bit of gyp from time to time.

As a youngster, I had my arm and wrist in plaster. Chipped away the bit between thumb and palm to allow me to grip the handlebars of my motorbike.

But how did you break it in the first place , by motorbike perhaps?

No car. *An engine fell on it. Young and reckless.

* A friend undid the gearbox mount whilst I was undoing bellhousing bolts. The back of the box dropped, tilting the engine and trapping my wrist between bulkhead and engine. The resultant sudden tilt backwards and awkward angle I was in to get to bolts broke my wrist, well fractured it anyway.

I had my right hand little finger torn off and sewn back on again.......it still works partially but gives me an air of 'poshness' when I drink a cup of tea.

My son broke his arm when he was 10. I remember being in A&E with him and they where trying to manipulate his arm to get the break into the right position. Thank god he was out of it as you here the bones grinding.

My leg looks so white and skinny now it's out of plaster. Ankle is stil bruised up but have been told that is normal as the muscles and tendons take longer to heal than bone. Also even though I tried to keep my toes clean they still look filthy as though never been washed.
