Race to return from Mexico ahead of red list move .

Thousands of UK holidaymakers are scrambling to return from Mexico before it joins the UK’s red list on Sunday – with some air fares costing almost £7,000.

There have been reports of flights from the country's capital Mexico City to London costing a staggering £6,878.

From August 12, the cost of hotel quarantine will increase, with the price for single adult travellers rising from £1,750 to £2,285 and a second adult paying £1,430.

The last paragraph blew my mind after a little research.

You have to get imprisoned in a hotel, at your cost, for two weeks after coming back from some countries?

What happens if you don't agree to being imprisoned?

Who said the purpose of quarantine was to make you free?

quarantine

a state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious disease are placed.

So now you're diminishing The Holocaust by comparing it to being made to stay in a reasonably prices hotel with decent food and free wifi.

Part of the Marjorie Taylor Greene school.

I understand that in the past four days you've espoused Nazi views on race and now you're comparing The Holocaust to a stay at an hotel.

That tells me all I need to know about your politics

I'm fine with the approach if it saves lives but the constant bullshit isn't helping.

Have you ever seen authoritarians declare their removing of freedoms would cost lives?

Everything they do is under the pretense of making your life better.

I don't think someone who thinks The Holocaust was like a stay at hotel has much to add to any discussion

Are people free to walk out of that hotel if they don't want to stay?

Yes or no?

I'm tired of the lying from our government about not being authoritarian when they clearly are.
