No one is talking about a connection with alleged bribes and the new yacht, but that news of the yacht is some kind of ''diversionary subject' and is supposed to make people suddenly forget about the rest of the news.

Aka a 'dead cat' ( :gigglesnshit: )

Interestingly, today's 'dead cat' on the Tories behalf is from the Sun which headlines with "Justice for that bloke who got killed at Barrymore's house" on the front page.

Honestly, that's more important than mountains of government corruption, yes?

Because you are obsessed with the Tories and Brexit, it doesn't mean that the rest of the country is. Other things happen 24/7 - big stories, small stories, whatever. What's important to one person may be trivial to another. There is a variety to the news, and no limit as to what can be reported.

Surely you have the brain capacity to have read about the royal yacht or the bloke above, and still have room in there for all the other shite you post about?

Why are you so concerned that any news other than stuff about the Tories is a 'diversionary subject'?

Well of course there is.

The utter contempt the Conservative press have for the level of intelligence of rank and file Conservative voters could not be more obvious or in most cases more justified

It's a bog standard news story about a new royal yacht. Do you think they built it solely to 'deflect' from news about the Tories?

How much thought do you think the average Joe has given to the yacht story? You make it sound like it's all-consuming and it's all people can think about.

Do you think the media should be banned from reporting on anything other than negative stories about the Tories or Brexit?

I'm surprised you haven't said Putin's behind it, or come up with one of your riddles 'because badgers' or some such shite. :off head:

It was totally made up to deflect from the present corruption within the government and aimed at Sun readers (You). It worked.

How is it totally made up ?

Apart from it being a story in it's own right, naming it after Prince Philip is also very topical.

Superyacht builders dont think it's bullshit. Several serious design studies are out there. Fly in the ointment, HM the Queen isnt keen. But I'm sure it hasnt escaped anyone's notice that she's quite old. Both the first and second in line to the throne like all things boat related. The third in line hasnt been consulted, but I expect he'd be delighted. What 7 year old wouldn't be?

Why are you talking about it in a thread about government corruption?

By your actions you're proving the point you're trying to disprove

The sorry tale of David Cameron and Greensill is simply as execrable as it ever gets

British politics over the last few years has not gone short on execrable moments, but if there has been a single one more execrable than David Cameron’s attempts to justify what he was up to at the now-bankrupt Greensill Capital then, well, I can only conclude my subconscious is keeping it buried deep down where it belongs.

Nothing I can ever recall runs this horror show close.

It’s not merely that it was all very obviously bulls***. That sort of thing is not uncommon. It’s that the entire premise, the entire terms of engagement were bulls*** too. To watch and listen to Cameron for two and a half full hours was not just to witness a man building a house of bulls*** using only bulls*** bricks and bulls*** cement. And it’s not just that the foundations were bulls*** too. The very earth into which it was set, the entire landmass and the wide sea around it – Bulls***. Bulls***. Bulls***.

We begin with a tale of pity, self-pity, of course. How had it come to pas>>>>>> https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/other/the-sorry-tale-of-david-cameron-and-greensill-is-simply-as-execrable-as-it-ever-gets/ar-BB1gHDgT?ocid=mailsignout&li=BBoPWjQ

He stood to make £200,000,000. TWO HUNDRED MILLION QUID!!

But his lobbying was purely altruistic, he was doing it for the good of the UK economy (he claims).

And from the DM:

Priti Patel in £20m PPE lobbying storm: Home Secretary is accused of 'glaring' breach of Ministerial Code after writing to Michael Gove on behalf of healthcare firm to seal surgical masks deal

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... storm.html

Is that the third or forth breach, I lost count.
