Johnson isolating due to (his words) NHS test and trace flagging up he had been next to a positive case. He's the PM, why would he tell us this when he can be tested a dozen times a day if he wants. Test last night, result this am .. get back to work Boris, you fool nobody. He wont want to face scrutiny over Cummings and this week is meant to be the week they finally sort something out re Brexit.

Central Scotland supposed to be going into a tier 4 lockdown :bawlin:

He's following the rules. He could have a test but even if that's negative he still has to self isolate (I think).

You're right in that he still has to self isolate even if a test is negative however he can't get a test unless he is showing symptoms - not something that I agree with but understandable given the failure to build sufficient testing capacity I suppose

Right, so he's not doing anything wrong. If he carried on working he'd be berated for that. He's already had Covid but nobody knows if that makes him immune to further infection.

Jul 2020: UK officially opts out of EU Covid-19 vaccine scheme.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-53361906

Aug 2020: EU expands vaccine scheme with a 5th company, Moderna.
https://ec.europa.eu/commission/pressco ... ip_20_1513

Oct 2020: EU fast-tracks Moderna approval.
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-heal ... SKBN26T21A

Nov 2020: Moderna trial shows 95% effectivess from vaccine that doesn't need special storage.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... ight-covid

You really couldn't make this up.

A bad look to be seen co-operating with the EU while Brexiting, so we miss out on the placing of 'bets' across extra platforms.

And yes, this will almost certainly cost yet more lives as the Moderna vaccine is twice as effective.

That was the other fella, Johnson listens to the last person that he talked to and the clingon is gone.

There are more than 100 covid vaccine programs in development world-wide
The UK government is funding 6 of them - more than any other government
Obviously - they should have consulted you before they spent any money
With your expertise, you would have advised them which ones to go for back in March.

You clearly haven't grasped the concept that 28 countries SHARING the backing of a group of vaccine producers is not only more likely to produce a result (more of the promising projects can be backed) but also it is much, much cheaper to do so as part of a joint enterprise.

But hey, common sense and simple logic seem to have deserted both the Tory party and their dwindling band of supporters,

How anyone can justify having a wider choice and a better chance of success while saving money beats me.

You obviously haven't heard
The EU has no deal with Moderna
But, the UK has already secured an initial 5 million doses to be delivered next spring (subject to approval of course)

Big doesn't necessarily mean better.
