I think it depends on how your immune system reacts to the vaccine. It attacks it as a foreign pathogen, which can cause all the usual symptoms of an infection, which is absolutely normal. It's your immune system trying to get rid of the pathogen.
I get it, but still
If your immune system didnt fight it, it would be no use. The side effects are what you feel about your immune system kicking off. Some suffer, some don’t. I had almost nothing, others I talk to had various of the usual things, as discussed here. All a very minor inconvenience compared to a full on Covid infection.
