I think it depends on how your immune system reacts to the vaccine. It attacks it as a foreign pathogen, which can cause all the usual symptoms of an infection, which is absolutely normal. It's your immune system trying to get rid of the pathogen.

I get it, but still :scared:

If your immune system didnt fight it, it would be no use. The side effects are what you feel about your immune system kicking off. Some suffer, some don’t. I had almost nothing, others I talk to had various of the usual things, as discussed here. All a very minor inconvenience compared to a full on Covid infection.

We arent experts arthur, we're just ordinary people trying to wade through this stuff, like the vast majority. We can only talk from our own experiences.

Oops. In the age of the internet, the media often posts first, verifies much later.

The Media Fell for a Viral Hoax About Ivermectin Overdoses Straining Rural Hospitals

The story ran under the headline: "Patients overdosing on ivermectin backing up rural Oklahoma hospitals, ambulances." It was quickly picked up by national news outlets, such as Rolling Stone, Newsweek, and the New York Daily News. Numerous high-profile media figures, including MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, tweeted about ivermectin overdoses straining Oklahoma hospitals—the implication being that the right-wing embrace of a crank COVID-19 cure was dangerous not only for the people who consumed it but for the stability of the entire medical system.

It was a story that appeared to confirm many of the mainstream media's biases about the recklessness of the rubes. But it's extremely misleading. There is, in fact, little reason to believe a purported strain on Oklahoma hospitals is caused by ivermectin overdoses; one hospital served by the doctor quoted in the KFOR article released a statement saying it has not treated any ivermectin overdoses, nor has it been forced to turn away patients.

Rolling Stone has now appended an update at the top of the story, clarifying that there were 459 cases of ivermectin overdoses in the U.S. during the month of August, and though a state-by-state breakdown is not available, it would be surprising if this was straining the Oklahoma medical system. That's because the state is currently experiencing a seven-day average of 1,528 hospitalizations due to COVID-19. If they're running out of beds and ambulances, it's because of the virus, not ivermectin. This was something Rolling Stone could have figured out on its own had the magazine bothered to contact any hospitals in Oklahoma, but alas.

Why would anyone believe an RW rag Reason?

Use a reputatable fact checking source

https://factcheck.afp.com/http%253A%252 ... 2F9MD9HX-1

The real facts are bad enough, in some ways they are worse. In a place where people who are worried about covid can get real advice based on solid evidence they instead choose to believe gossip, rumour and baseless claims about miracle cures instead of putting in the hard work needed to see out a pandemic.

Whether it's a preacher promising your covid will be cured if you touch the TV screen or an unevidenced claim about an agricultural dewormer a people kept ignorant by decades of propaganda and indoctrination are paying the price of their ignorance.

They are to be pitied.

Reason isn't right wing.

And they cite their sources, unlike all of the media sources that spread this bull shit.

"It is vital for the media to communicate correct information to the public about ivermectin. While the drug is not only used for deworming horses and is in fact prescribed to humans, overdoses can cause nasty side effects. Moreover, its viability as a COVID-19 cure is highly disputed. As Reason's Ronald Bailey noted in a recent article, there's little evidence that ivermectin is an effective treatment for the virus. Reporters should make crystal clear that the best way to fight the COVID-19 pandemic is mass vaccination. But communicating wrong information about ivermectin overdoses works against this goal, as it is likely to convince vaccine skeptics that their skepticism is justified."

Which people? The ones not doing their jobs and spreading falsehoods, making the problem worse?

Yeah, fuck those people.

Do you consider libertairians right wing?

How about anarchists? are they right wing too?

AnCaps?

Minarchists?

Voluntarists?

I'm not naive at all, just astute enough to know that libertarians are neither left nor right as they are placed on the Y axis, opposite authoritarians.

So Reason is biased against authoritarianism in the selection of their stories. Authoritarians on the left and the right.

Here is Reason's bias check

Bias Rating: RIGHT-CENTER
Factual Reporting: HIGH
Country: USA (45/180 Press Freedom)
Media Type: Magazine
Traffic/Popularity: Medium Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: HIGH CREDIBILITY

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/reason/

So for what it's worth it has a centre right bias but is highly credible - they spin but they don't lie.
