Did they have to let him get away with shit as well?

they had been met with a complete wall of silence in that community for years

Sort of like the 40 year wall of silence around people like Saville? Often in these cases the abusers are of a higher social standing - small business owners, pillars of the community, etc (remember Saville was synonymous with charity work) with the victims being lower class, and in those cases of my word versus theirs its hard to make head way.

According to sources Britain is to the top 5 of nations for child abuse and in 2017 fell from 11th to 156th in global children's rights rankings, and around 78% of sex abusers are white. How's that for a wall of silence?

Yes the silence is deafening.
Sad cunts.

Yes it is a shame.

Hmm I wonder what these 'men' have been doing in Rotherham?

Laughably the Guardian fails to mention the common denominator of course - must not mention the 'M' word - because that would be Islamophobic - FFS.

Amjal Rafiq, 38; Nabeel Kurshid, 34; Iqlak Yousaf, 33; Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 36; Tanweer Ali, 36; Aftab Hussain, 38; Abid Saddiq, 36; Sharaz Hussain, 33; and Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 38, who have been charged with a total of 39 offences, and Mohammed Ashan, 33; Masaeud Malik, 33; and Waseem Khaliq, 33.
