Rosebank has the capacity to supply the world's current oil needs for just less than a week so don't worry to much about what it adds to the worlds carbon consumption.
That does alter the perspective a little doesn't it.
But if we had a nationalised energy system it would ease the life of business greatly as the self employed and the big corporations travelled about a little less expensively.
It could have a great impact on the cost of living crisis but won't.

This country needs revenue, because it can’t afford to look after all our own people at present, and it needs to up industrial capability because of the Ukraine war.
Which isn’t going away anytime soon.

Rishi has done the right thing regarding oil and gas exploration other than that the west in general seem to be on some kind of suicide mission dictated by the WEF.
As well as an energy crisis... yes crisis we will soon be in a food crisis with farms being forcibly closed down and animals slaughtered and not to be replaced.
The WEF are determined to reshape the west first but the globe as a whole and the plan is an old revolutionary one based on you cannot change thing so destroy and restart.
Trouble is Asia is booming along while we are being forced into collapse.
