I believe that is the traditional way!

Thanks.

Do I need to add the jam on the marzipan before icing? If my memory serves me right I don't.

We all hate marzipan, not sure why I bother really. :Slol:

No, you spread the jam over the cake and then lay the marzipan over that and trim it to size. I'm not sure if you can put royal icing straight onto a cake. There might be staining if you did. However.... if you use fondant icing, I think it can be done without marzipan.

If you like the look of royal icing though, you can do a layer of fondant icing with royal icing on top. I think you still need the jam to keep it nicely in place though. :smilin:

It wasn't the turkey that was the issue - more the gratuitous abuse. :gigglesnshit:

Sometimes it's nice to keep one or two threads free from nasty crap. I know I probably should have thought to put it in the Snug in the first place.

Mea culpa.

Nasty???.... it was lighthearted and funny as fook imo!..... anyway, I shall refrain :gigglesnshit:

The comment made to Bella wasn't. That was why I asked for the move.

Can't find it..... was it deleted?

No, it's still there.
