One of the worst cases - a young dog-sitter who had her face ravaged by two mutts she was looking after.

I quickly scrolled past the photos as I cannot bear such sights. I won't even post a link lest someone who does not want to see it, clicks on it in error. But here's the jist of the story >

"Jacqueline Durand, from Texas, her face was torn off by two rescue dogs - Bender, a boxer and pitbull mix, and Lucy, a German Shepherd mix. She was dragged around the house and her nose, ears, lips and cheeks ripped off. The dogs were destroyed and Durant sued their owners - Justin and Ashley Bishop - for negligence. She had extensive recovery surgery and is hoping to avoid a face transplant."

Poor girl. A cruel thing to happen to a 21 yo. It was during the pandemic as well. She still remains positive in her outlook.

And what the hell was the man arguing about? It was inaudible but his tone of voice was that of a wronged man. Fool!

I seem to be reading of new attacks, and seeing video evidence, on a daily basis now.

It’s now getting absolutely ridiculous.

The cops should open an XL Bully Confidential Hotline so that people can report neighbours who have these monsters and explain how they’ve terrorised their neighbourhoods.

Taser armed police can then attend along with RSPCA perhaps, to see these “pets” and speak to the owners, plus canvass the street for more information from all neighbours.

A true number of these things could then (perhaps) be had, and any proper menaces put down.

And this will be funded how?

Cops funding, I’m sure that a lot of other crimes will be unearthed in such a move.

Why would it cost anymore to move a few guys and vehicles about on the general map of things?
A shit load of time could be saved by switching following people who smoke privets to people who own killer dogs...

Push a big long stick eg a walking stick inside their collar & twist it.

Same thing, you need to reboot the fuckers.

Ah ok.

Yes there are dogs called Bully XLs but there are dogs called Cockapoos, Morkies and Pomskys too and none of those are breeds either, so how can you ban a breed that doesn't exist?

XL Bully is a type rather than a breed. The others are crossbreeds, despite people boasting about their pedigree cockapoo.

Again apologies for my genuine ignorance but when does a type become a breed.

I know Jack Russells went from being a type to a breed very recently but I have no idea how the distinction is made.

Mongrels, call them what they are.

I've always had mongrel tripehounds but we had Newfies and Pyranees as a kid, one was a water rescue dog and the other a mountain rescue dog. I'm surprised that XL owners haven't started calling side breed dogs Uzi-Bullys or AR15 terriers.

Nice. I'm definitely blaming the owners as much as the dogs.

They'd just been kicked out of a pub for throwing food around. To reiterate; if you want to own one of these things then you are automatically a bad owner and a mentalist.
