Omg, doesn't sound nearly enough. Wouldn't the spinal stop you from being able to walk?
I suppose they were concerned about people getting addicted to the morphine.
I think my spinals kept me down for about 3/4 hours. You’ve got to wait for the catheter to be removed anyway though.
But it’s just paracetamol. And only if you specifically ask for it. I just had the peppermint water for the trapped air after my youngest. They let me out less than 24 hours after it too.
Possibly a breast feeding thing?
I'm shocked, 24 hours? I had to stay in for a week, both times. It was too long but there was no choice.
And just paracetamol? I can't believe that. I was given morphine, a painkilling pessary and paracetamol. And I still breastfed, not for long enough because it was too uncomfortable with everything else my bod went through.
How long did you breastfeed NN?
Yep, just one overnight with my daughter, and I was up and showering the same day as the c-section. That was a preplanned one though, had it early afternoon and was out the next morning. My son was an emergency section and I spent 2 nights in after him.
Unless they gave me something that I wasn’t aware of when I was in surgery, they were not very generous with the painkillers! They want you up and about quickly these days, too. I got no help with the baby, and my fella was promptly kicked out at the end of visiting time. I breastfed for 4 months-ish with both of mine. Hated every minute of it
