It's hard to pick a best airline but having flown (seated facing backwards) on a VC10 I get your meaning

9 hours on a hercules :yikes:

Never had an issue with KLM but emirates have been my best so far

I do like Emirates, especially the business class bar on their A380. But Air new Zealand is still my number one.

Business class on A380? You lucky person you.

KLM are actually very good indeed. We flew back from Kenya on KLM a couple of years ago and were very impressed. It also helped that the plane was brand new and was very comfortable but the cabin crew very excellent and the service was extremely good.

None left, they all sold out!

(Actually I did have a whole string of Aussie critters which had a clip thing in their paws which attached them to the string. I picked it up in a cheapo tourist shop in Sydney, back in the days when there were 3 Aussie $ to the pound...I'm fairly certain it got thrown out a long time ago)

Shame, it's probably worth a few bob now

I'd love to go to NZ and see these fat flightless parrots in the wild before feral cats wipe them out

The Kakapo is a real oddity, I watched a documentary about them and they are just so comical

I wouldn't mind at all but I suppose it's not on their list of priorities :gigglesnshit: Which of course is understandable...it's like when you go on holidays oversees and people at home ask you to go shopping for them :brickwall: ...

Bugger! I messed up the quote, never mind here goes again...

A palaver indeed. But all sorted now, thank goodness.

Yes, we are visiting both islands so when we arrive at Auckland, we'll be getting straight onto a flight down to Christchurch. I daresay we'll probably sleep for ages after we check into our hotel. :gigglesnshit:

South Island does indeed look quite amazing, so we're really looking forward to it all and it's also going to be fun and games meeting up with all these relatives I have never met before. :hap:

I have never ever been there and I can only hope I get the funds together to go one day.

It might be tricky to organise as we have a very tight schedule but who knows...? :wubbers:

If we don't manage it this time, the future plan is to move to NZ for a year when Mr D retires so I'm sure I could fit Holly in for a few drinkies then. :Wiiiine!:

:awesome:
