However some of Amazons suppliers get their product sent into the UK from the EU , no problem until one wants to return the item for whatever reason .
One still needs to print out return lable ( simple) but the next stage posting the ruddy item one now needs to fill out Customs Forms explaining what the item is and all its details including inside leg measurements before the Post Office will accept it . Hang around in a queue while the Post Office offical checks that all wording is correct and the forms filled in properly .

I have a small item I want returning (Wrong Item) worth about £12. taking into account of the hassle and time wasted in returning item I just dont think I will bother .
But its the principle Mail Order items can be refunded but not from EU Countries just tie us up with Red Tape .

Yes Brexit is certainly a Bonus !!! :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff:

First world problems eh?

For an up and coming Third World Country , Great Britain . !!!!!

The reason you presently only have to do this for returns is that the UK isn't checking anything coming in - they're light 50,000 customs officers and simply don't have the capacity to process the paperwork.

They're also behind on processing the paperwork for outgoing goods so your return might not get there within Amazon's deadline - although I understand they're making allowances -for now.

Once the UK does start checking and charging for incoming goods you may find a disclaimer they have saying the price does not include local tariffs to be more pertinent that it has been until now.

Yes, stop stressing about everything. None of us will be here for ever anyway. :gigglesnshit:

Some off these folks need to move to Jamaica. They don't stress about things at all down there, and the weather is better.

Jamaica are very much 'stressing' in that our trade deal with them requires us to have EU compliant paperwork

https://www.jacustoms.gov.jm/service/tr ... 0in%202017.

That means a British manufacturer, making British goods for export to a country outside the EU must still have those goods certified as meeting EU standards.
So move there.

No problem mon!
Don't tell me what to do.

If you want to be in charge run for Mayor.

And why are our supermarkets 'shit shows'?

When are you moving to Scotland btw? You do realise Scotland isn't in the EU either?

You will find it very similar to Torquay, but colder, and with more covid around.

Enjoy

Scotland fell thorough unfortunately so I moved back, I'm sure that I posted about it once or twice :ooer:

You fucked up the country by voting for brexit and it's unfolding in front of you and it's going to get worse and very soon. Google RHA if you are in doubt.

Red you have yet to comment on the topic of this thread

Should the UK go crawling on its knees to beg the EU to let us follow their rules or should we shut down all manufacturing until The Conservative Government can update all the regulations and the process all of the applications - so about two years
