Aye.

SNP have complete control of Scotland, Unionists in decline in the Six Counties... soon just be England and Wales (and the Welsh hate us as it is)

Exciting times. :smilin:

No they don’t. You need to check the results again. Scots see a GE as a free vote, like we see the EU elections. When it comes to Indy they don’t want it. Holyrood elections is where they take things serious.

The singular mind about brexit is the only true part about that.

The policies were popular. The problem is the media is massively against anything that upsets their neo-liberal agenda.

Even when Labour tried to do what the media wants (support austerity, attack immigrants) as they did under Milliband they still got savaged by the media/political class.

Jews who hated Britian... according to those who claim to oppose anti-semitism :shell:

How many more will swell the queues at foodbanks. And I wonder when he will revitalise the high streets in those small Northern towns.

I look forward to the first thousand boat flotilla leaving Grimsby to fish in our newly freed waters, and the price of fish and chips falling accordingly. There's bound to be a budget, and of course to help the poor we can expect a large cut in VAT financed by a tax cut (!) for billionaires. Cheaper sanitary products.

And finally, my unicorn to be delivered soon after Jan 31st. Just after the Tories scrap Universal Credit.

Happy Christmas !!

Well done canny on getting your whinging in early.

How long before the links to online petitions start coming in?

How about asking for another go, and calling it a..…..'people's vote'?

Tactical voting went well didn't it?

Tactical voting did go well, millions of Labour supporters voted tactically to get rid of that dangerous man Corbyn.

That is spot on.

The present-day Labour Party is to the right of Attlee who was the last PM to do anything substantial for the masses - very far from extreme left-wing.

Marshall Aid was a vote winner, I agree. Well done the Yanks

Marshall Aid didn't start until 1948, the Atlee Government came in during 1945.

In the previous election, the Conservatives had come in on a platform of sorting out 'the mess' in Europe and keeping Britain out of Europe's affairs and Europe out of Britain's affairs. At the time it was considered an isolationist policy although it was later dubbed appeasement - handing Europe over to the growing power of Germany and relying on trading partnerships with the colonies that were becoming strained and the United States who were having problems of their own.

So there are absolutely no parallels whatsoever - none.

It was Attlee who, in 1935, lead the Labour party into a defeat even bigger than this one.

You are giving solace to the Corbinistas - I will pass your post on to them to ease their despair. :gigglesnshit:

The poor don't care where the money comes from so long as they are fed and housed. Nor do I.
