A paedophile who used fake references to get a job as a nanny from a Gumtree advert has been jailed for sexually assaulting a girl aged under five.

Aaron Mark McWilliams, 25, responded to an advert for the nanny's job on the online classifieds site even though he was banned from having unsupervised contact with any child under 16.

McWilliams, who sexually assaulted the young child in the Bromley area, was given the ban in 2015 after he sexually assaulted a child under 13 in Southwark.

But he evaded the ban by "deviously" forging good character references to get the work in Bromley as a nanny and au pair.
