Another even longer record shattered today. Wham's Last Christmas hits No.1 after waiting 36 years since release in 1984 when it missed out to Band Aid. Sad that George isn't here to see it. :bawlin:

OMG sausage roll man Ladbaby is coming for the Christmas No.1 again but he's up against Justin Bieber joining forces with an NHS choir on a remake of his song Holy which could just beat him due to the sentimentality this year.

No.2 behind East 17 in 1994 but has been back to No.2 three more times since then including last year. Streams for it are huge at present and it's already a million-seller.

These songs denied her the top spot.

1994: East 17 - Stay Another Day
2017: Ed Sheeran - Perfect
2018: Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho (Mariah missed out by 152 sales )
2019: Ellie Goulding - River

She's No.1 today, based on two days' figures but only 1,300 downloads/streams ahead of Last Christmas by Wham. All can change by Friday but looking good. Come on Mariah. Ariana Grande plummets to No.7.
